This class includes physical poses (asanas), breath work (pranayama), and meditation to create a harmonious state of body, mind, and spirit. Through this restorative practice you will gain flexibility and strength and find a state of equanimity through life's challenges. All levels welcome. Please let your instructor know if you are new to yoga. Hatha Yoga is a set of physical postures, and when done in sequence, they help to align your skin, muscles, and bones ~ as well as open the spine to allow your energy to flow more freely.
Hatha / Restorative Yoga Before deep relaxation, this class will incorporate stretching and Hatha Yoga before delving into deep relaxation. This class will fosters deep relaxation and restoration through simple yet energizing yoga postures and breathing. All levels and ages welcome. If you are stressed, tired, or need to quiet your mind, this is a great class for you. No experience necessary. Restorative poses (asanas) are the antidote to stress. They are poses of being rather than doing. This form of yoga works with soothing the nervous system. In each posture be sure to be comfortable. Tune in to your experience and check for any tension or holding. If there is any strain, move out of the pose gently. Let your breath be your guide. If you are holding it or it is not coming easily, move gently out of the posture until the breath naturally returns. This class promotes "active relaxation". Some poses have an overall benefit (like increasing circulation) while other target individual body parts. All create specific physiological responses which are beneficial to health and can reduce the effects of stress-related disease. Restorative yoga balances the masculine and feminine energies in the body so the practitioner is neither too stimulated nor depleted. Love your body. Ease your mind. Be gentle with yourself.

The Balanced Yogi: Yin/Yang Mind, body, and breath engage synergistically as you are guided through a slow to moderate creative sequence of asanas (yoga poses) designed to cultivate awareness, balance, flexibility and muscular strength (Yang) along with increasing a natural state of grace and fluidity. Yang is balanced by Yin as the transition is made to asanas of a more passive nature, awakening deep connective tissues and joints, entering an even more mindful state while improving inner strength. Yin poses particularly target the areas of the lower part of the body helping to increase circulation and open the lower back, hips and sacrum. This class is suitable for all levels as you are guided throughout and options are available for all poses to make this your personal practice. Each class begins with a very brief meditation, warm-up and at one point integration of a style of simple breath work for proper breathing technique, energizing or to influence a calming effect. Practice ends in Savasana, a relaxation pose, often with imagery and or affirmations. Men and Women: this is a great way to find balance on and off the mat; leaving class feeling strong, more flexible, relaxed, with a sense of grace, and clarity!
Vinyasa Flow This quiet and relaxing class is designed to incorporate our breath with various Yoga poses to create internal heat with focus on building core strength, balance, flexibility and stamina. Special attention is given to proper alignment, technique, and modifications. All yoga levels welcome to this class. Please let your instructor know if you are new to yoga.
Vinyasa Morning Yoga Tone your body and increase levels of energy. By adding more movement synchronized with the breath you increase heart rate and circulation which aids in fat calorie burning. We will be doing an ab routine to trim the mid section and improve digestion as well as working on abdominal strength which helps to create a strong spine and improve overall health.
Yoga for Alignment Iyengar Yoga encourages you to perform asanas (postures) correctly, minimizing the risk of injury or strain and helps to develop strength, mobility and stability with detail and focus on the postures. Structural alignment is emphasized and many students find this practice helps to relieve stress from everyday life.
